Unreliable claims on ancestry

quoting from the article "Vathimi Raja's son Parakrama Bahu II (Alkeshwara II) was a Muslim while the lineage of Alkeshwara Kings was ended in 1410." the claim is there only in a article written by and individual. the provided source also says there no mention of it in any other sources in sri lanka and claim that mahavamsa omitted it from the cronicles. Can such info be on wikipedia without no base at all. need enlightment on this from an admin. VihirLak007 (talk) 09:45, 5 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

etymology issues in claims

quoting from article "The town was originally named Berbereen in honour and respect of the Somali Shaikh." the source provided dont even have a single word or name in this sentence. Can this type of claims be made without sources or citations? i see i have removed unreliable claims from this article few years back, but some person have reverted it claiming i was racist. need admin advice on this.
