Safety hazard
editI removed the suggestion of using tiki torch fuel or kerosene in betty lamps. They are both too volatile for a "heavy oil" lamp which heats the fuel up quite hot in use such as the betty lamp or whale oil lamps. Additionally, the wick tubes are often not sealed up tightly enough to prevent flames from traveling down the wick into the fuel setting it on fire if used with kerosene, tiki torch fuel, bottles "lamp oil", etc.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.254.8.133 (talk) 22:50, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
