Merger proposal
edit- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
- Merge More into Platinum Edition was the consensus from this discussion. Although some editors (including myself) changed their opinion after seeing some examples at work, the impact of this probably won't be recognised unless another discussion is opened. However, for now, the consensus to merge in this way is clear. —JennKR
I propose that the page for More (Beyoncé EP) be merged into this one. Nearly all of that page's information is also contained here, which is unsurprising considering the More EP was released as part of the Platinum Edition release. Left separate, both articles would likely be short and would probably not require the addition of much extra information in the future, and given that much of the information is relevant to both articles, it would be sensible to merge More into this article. Mmrsofgreen (talk) 17:00, 26 November 2014 (UTC)
- Support - All of the More EP is included on the Platinum Edition article anyway. Not really sure why both exist. Having Beyoncé and Beyoncé: Platinum Edition if fine because the re-release has new songs etc and new single. There are several re-release articles on here. But the EP should be merged into re-release article. It's exactly the same. — ₳aron 17:22, 26 November 2014 (UTC)
- Support - I believe all three articles should be merged into one. There's no need to have a rerelease have it's own separate article. The Live DVD features songs from the same album. The More disc is half songs on the album remixed. It's all essentially the same body of work. There's no need for the box set to have it's own article. RatiziAngeloucontribs 17:24, 26 November 2014 (UTC)
- My point is further supported by Beyoncé's own website where all of the songs are shown under the same album, marked as the 2013 release. RatiziAngeloucontribs 17:27, 26 November 2014 (UTC)
- Support per Calvin999 Snuggums (talk / edits) 05:00, 27 November 2014 (UTC)
- Support, the more EP is literally just a half version of the entire box set, meaning all of it's information can be relevantly covered in this article ThirdWard (Lolcakes25) (talk) 07:03, 27 November 2014 (UTC)
- Support. Per the comments above. — Tomíca(T2ME) 13:07, 28 November 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose - The EP is a different content, that was released in separate way. I think that "The Platinum Album" should be merged to the original album. Same case of B'Day Deluxe Edition which contain Irreemplazable EP, and was not considered an Box Set and the EP has it own page. The EP has three singles, one of entered in Billboard Hot 100 and another one is about to enter too. And to finish, the relevance of "More" album is comproved by the Charts, that do not merged the sales. Silencio faz bem (talk) 00:20, 30 November 2014 (UTC)
- Irreemplazable had an independent release and was given the Get Me Bodied remix. In the case of the more ep, it was only released separately digitally. It IS part of the beyonce album re release and therefore all should be in one article. RatiziAngeloucontribs 22:44, 30 November 2014 (UTC)
- I agree with all should be in one article. Silencio faz bem (talk) 19:37, 3 December 2014 (UTC)

*Support A case of WP:CFORK, the More EP can be considered a "fork" from the Platinum Edition. Simon (talk) 03:35, 30 November 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose The More EP contains original content and therefore should have a stand-out article. Meanwhile, the Platinum Edition is just a compilation of the EP and the original album. Take a look at Paradise EP and Born to Die: The Paradise Edition reissue. Simon (talk) 02:28, 18 December 2014 (UTC)
*Support Merge More into Platinum Edition per Calvin and Simon. —JennKR | ☎ 12:21, 30 November 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose After reading Adabow's argument, I found his opinion more convincing. I was unaware that there was some sort of precedent for how an EP release incorporated into a box set should be approached on here, and that reasoning seems more logical. —JennKR | ☎ 12:04, 5 December 2014 (UTC)
- Support Merge per points above also agreeing to a merger. livelikemusic my talk page! 03:03, 2 December 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose It would make much more sense, in my opinion, to merge this article into More (Beyoncé EP). All of the content in this article is about the new material, except release dates, which can be included in Beyoncé (album). This sort of arrangement works well with Raymond v. Raymond and Versus (EP). Adabow (talk) 21:07, 2 December 2014 (UTC)
- Support - As mentioned above, "More" is released as part of the Platinum Edition. DEW. Adrenaline (Nahnah4) 04:31, 5 December 2014 (UTC)
- Support. Obvious content fork. More was only a separate release on digital retailers. — Status (talk · contribs) 20:46, 9 December 2014 (UTC)
- Support - For all the reasons above.--Nk3play2 my buzz 05:44, 17 December 2014 (UTC)
Artwork needs to be changed urgently....
edit...So stop what you're doing
- OK, I'm from the UK, I was in town on Monday when Beyoncé's self-titled re-release was released and I went into my local HMV and saw it; however I would like to point out that the artwork is 100% the exact same one as the 2013 copy; the only difference is that it is a box but all it has is a sticker on the cellophane calling it the platinum edition featuring the Mrs. Carter Show World Tour DVD, the bonus disc with ***Flawless (Remix) featuring Nicki Minaj and the other tracks like 7/11, the original disc and the original DVD of all of the videos from it's original 2013 one so can we please change the artwork back to the Beyoncé (2013) one? Rihanna-RiRi-fan (talk) 21:11, 26 November 2014 (UTC)
- This was the same everywhere. The cover is only altered for digital version. The fact that we have 3 different articles for the same album is crazy. RatiziAngeloucontribs 22:54, 26 November 2014 (UTC)
- OK, @Ratizi: will that mean the proper artwork will be used or the iTunes one? Rihanna-RiRi-fan (talk) 21:55, 28 November 2014 (UTC)
- @Rihanna-RiRi-fan:The regular album cover should be used, not the iTunes cover. But I mostly just want all three articles combined. There's no need to have them all be separate articles. This platinum edition article isn't going to get much bigger than it is now. Essentially a stub. RatiziAngeloucontribs 13:07, 29 November 2014 (UTC)

Orphaned references in Beyoncé: Platinum Edition
editI check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Beyoncé: Platinum Edition's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
