I tagged this disambiguation page as WP:DABCONCEPT because the majority of ambiguous links pointing here will be nearly impossible to disambiguate. All of the languages listed on this page are from the neighboring regions Lahaul and Spiti, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh. They all seem to be genealogically related, all part of the Sino-Tibetan language family and descended from Old Tibetan. As a result, it is very difficult to distinguish which variety of Bhoti is being referred to in an article that links here. Additionally, several articles that discuss census reports and the like seem to be identifying the entire group of Bhoti languages.
Sources disagree on whether Bhoti can be considered a single language (it's also a politically charged topic for various reasons), so I'm not sure if this would be the best course of action, but I propose a merger of some or all of the articles listed here to create a broad-concept article. —TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 15:53, 16 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
Some interesting sources to provide context to this proposal:
This article (contains some incorrect statements; not sure if it's reliable) arguing that Bhoti is not a language, but a label for a group of multiple regional languages.
This article describing some of the political motivations behind the recognition of Bhoti.
