The simplified derivation of the Biermann Battery effect presented in this article is incorrect. As presented, the derivation involves taking the curl of the gradient of a scalar, which is identically zero. In addition, the Biermann Battery effect appears to be proportional to grad(p) cross grad(n) (from the third of the three references included with the article), rather than grad(T) cross grad(n) [1].
