Requested move 12 April 2019
editBig Slide Mountain (New York) → Big Slide Mountain – There is only one article about a "Big Slide Mountain", no need for a disambiguator —hike395 (talk) 14:17, 12 April 2019 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 20:54, 12 April 2019 (UTC)
- @Hike395: Big Slide Mountain is a set index article that was just changed to a redirect by another editor. I restored the SIA. Station1 (talk) 16:05, 12 April 2019 (UTC)
- Comment the NYS article doesn't seem to show that 'Mountain' is certainly a part of the name, since it just bolds "Big Slide", wouldn't that make it Big Slide (New York) instead? -- 70.51.201.106 (talk) 17:04, 12 April 2019 (UTC)
- I'm not sure. The lead has read that way since the article's creation, but the 2 refs include "Mountain". Station1 (talk) 01:16, 13 April 2019 (UTC)
- @Hike395: queried move request. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 20:56, 12 April 2019 (UTC)
- Page Big Slide Mountain is a disambig page. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 20:56, 12 April 2019 (UTC)
- It's actually a set index article. As a dab page, it should not exist, but as a mountain SIA it serves a purpose. Station1 (talk) 01:16, 13 April 2019 (UTC)
Given that the SIA has been restored, this move would be a mistake. I withdraw my RM. We can discuss whether the SIA is a good idea over at Talk:Big Slide Mountain. —hike395 (talk) 14:35, 13 April 2019 (UTC)
