Biga Çayı → Biga River — Biga is the name but çay means river. Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 12:50, 11 November 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose. See Talk:Gelevara Deresi#Requested move. Andrewa (talk) 06:41, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
- Comment - Googling for Enlish language pages that aren't Wikipedia, we obtain: 729 for "Biga Çayı" versus 592 for "Biga river". This is different from the Gelevara situation, where no English language page uses "Gelevara river". -GTBacchus(talk) 20:02, 27 December 2010 (UTC)

When this comes up again,
- Support. Per lack of WP:COMMONNAME* and in the interests of WP:ENGLISH. Cayi is the Turkish name and listed as being Turkish. It also just happens to mean "River." [*Actually, "Granicus" seems to be the commonname here by thousands of pages, but it's also covered by being mentioned & typically is referring to the classical battle, not the modern river.] — LlywelynII 17:45, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
