New Biker Mice From Mars series to air in 2006. According to the series creator, Rick Ungar, a new version of the series will begin airing in Europe during the spring of 2006. The first season of the series will consist of 26 episodes. Plans for the show's release in the United States are expected to be finalized by late 2005.

Blacklisted?

edit

Why is "Red Planet" blacklisted? Just curious.  :)

In addition to this: I don't think that the links to the forums should be removed since it is where the brunt of activity and new information is within this fandom. It's like cutting off a huge flow of information just because it happens to be a forum and not a 'normal' website.

Why ARE the links removed? "Security reasons"? I demand their recovery. >:| --Kitetsu 06:38, 25 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Drink?

edit

In finnish dubbed version of Biker Mice from Mars always drank "kotikalja" (literally: home beer) which refers to beer without alcohol. What drink did they drank in english language version?

I do believe it was root beer. It's been a few years, but I definitely remember root beer. I'm absolutely stoked about the new series!

Airing in UK first

edit

Does anyone know the reasons for this? Is it being partly funded/produced in the UK? I'm intrigued to know. ItsaBitsa 20:44, 7 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Seperate these two pages?

edit
  • I really think these two cartoons should be divided into two separate wikis. It just makes it look cluttered, and surely it's usually common procedure for this site for cartoons of the same licence - but different times - to be separated?EnerJolt 17:49, 21 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
  • I think the article should be split by first having say the 90s biker mice information have a separate page and new biker mice cartoon have a new page like biker mice 2006. The ninja turtles cartoon pages are a perfect example of thisDwanyewest (talk) 02:00, 8 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Dwanyewest (talk) 05:37, 8 December 2007 (UTC)Sources for *episode info [1][2] I have transferred most of the information regarding the biker mice from mars 2006 revival to the new page i also removed the episode summarizer's as it was copyright volitions by who ever wrote it.Reply

Informal style

edit

The reason for the informal style of the 2006 season biographies is that the author has copied them direct from the official website. To improve the style - and avoid potential copyright issues - they should be substantially rewritten. Much of the information on principal characters (Throttle, Modo, Vinnie, Charley, Carbine) are already in the classic series biogs earlier in the article or in the main character articles, and therefore - I would suggest - the relevant 2006 biogs are largely redundant.Anglo-Norman 12:05, 5 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I cleaned up some of the style before I had read this about potential copyright problems. (Allbranflakes (talk) 06:43, 28 September 2008 (UTC))Reply

Anyone know why this article is tagged for cleanup? It has been tagged as such since January, but there's no explanation as to what the tagger thinks needs doing.Anglo-Norman 15:54, 25 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Continuation or Remake

edit
  • I Disagree, the new series refrences to things and characters that have happened in the old series. In episode Turf Wars, we see the character Harley being kidnapped by a Rat, which is a straight reference to the old series episode Once Upon a Time on mars III. Also, if the new series was a remake, then how come the old series main bad guys, Limburger and Karbunkle, aren't introduced as new characters, but only appear with a slight reminder of who they are? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.112.85.152 (talk) 18:45, 27 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • I don't think its right to refer to the official biker Mice website as a reference for information regarding 1993 version of Biker Mice from Mars. The new version is NOT a continuation of the original series. Its clearly a remake as the back story to 1993 version and 2006 are completely different.Dwanyewest (talk) 21:50, 19 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
  • I'd like to point out, that the backstory that you think is different in the old and new, is explained by the fact that the new series takes part it's backstory from a three issue comic book of the old series, as it was what the creators saw as the true story.

I also like to point out, that in the New series, there are VERY clear hints that it's a contuation, not a remake. First, in Once Upon a Time on Earth, there is a flashback of the Mice leaving earth, with Charley in her old series clothes. Next, they refer to Limburger's tower getting destructed in It's the Pits. Also, in the Adventure Begins part 2, Charley already knows the Biker Mice. If the new series were a remake, she would not, as in the first episode of the original series, she meets the mice for the first time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.112.174.8 (talk) 12:14, 8 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Bmfm.jpg

edit

Image:Bmfm.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Mice names

edit

All though a lot of fan's may think it, it was confirmed by the shows makers that the boys do NOT have last names. A quote from series producer Tom Tataranowitz: The issue of the Mice's last names came up early in the series. The decision was made not to give them any. There were a couple of reasons as follows:

I reasoned that Mars is not only the War Planet from our perspective on Earth, but due to the cosmic hoo-hah of the universe, it inhabits that role in all our solar system's history. This means that Mars had a seriously violent and treacherous history. In such an environment, last names became a liability. Families can be traced and hurt; trails too easily left, records too easily kept, etc. So it came to pass among the Mice of Mars that no one was given a last name. Each Clan could readily identify one of it's own via their antennae. So even when a more civilized Mars emerged from the barbarous past, this practice was kept. Aesthetically, I thought that the simple one word monickers the Mice used contrasted nicely with the overblown and pompus Plutarkian names ala "Lawrence Lactavius Limburger," etc.

Once upon a time on Mars part 3 a series finale or a unplanned cancelation after it aired?

edit

Once Upon a time on Mars part 3 wasn't a series finale I read alot But I say the series was canceled in 1996 2/24 unplanned for unknown reasons what do you think.

Man There really should have been a series finale after with that making mace pay. Like a book series with a series finale, a fourth season with a series finale, or better yet a movie doing a series finale in 1996 after the show's cancelation. But I could've done one of those as a elementary schooler. I feel I should did those true series finale options back then before the 2006 sequel series. What do you say. Was the tug transformer in Once upon a time on Mars part 3 that part where it is about hit Plutark front and center. Did that sound a series finale tone to you? The Biker mice finally made Plutrak pay in Once Upon a time on Mars part 3. But was Plutark really defeated finally in that 1996 episode? Was this episode an orginal series finale? or a unplanned cancelation after that episode?

Still I don't know why they had to cancel the series in 1996 then revive it in 2006. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.232.92.71 (talk) 04:08, 1 December 2009 (UTC) So please don't put fake last names on this article. 213.46.99.175 (talk) 20:45, 13 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

I found at IMDb about a upcoming film based on the show, should we wait for more information? I should wait in my opinoion. Egon Eagle (talk) 20:13, 31 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Season 4

edit

I really think that this Biker Mice from Mars (2006 TV series) series, cannot be considered an official series as much as an extra season of the original series considering as it is a direct continuation. I think the wiki needs a clean-up to reflect this.Rphb (talk) 21:30, 20 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Missing information

This article references, many times, the incident in which the three mice obtained their disabilities yet doesn't actually say what happened. Can someone that remembers the show add this information? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.42.21.232 (talk) 09:16, 15 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
