The page states that "Indian women wear bikinis when they vacation abroad or in Goa without the family".

As someone who has lived an aggregate of over a year in Goa (I work in a hotel chain), this is simply not true. Foreign western tourists practice the beach culture of their home countries which includes wearing bikinis. But Indians (of both sexes) themselves don't put on any beachwear/swimwear and the Indian women even go into the water fully clothed usually in their traditional garb (saris/shalwar kameezes). There are a small number of upper class, westernized Indians from the big cities (Mumbai etc) who wear shorts, but that's about as far as it goes. In most of India, women don't even dare show their knees, much less wear bikinis. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 123.231.125.240 (talk) 08:12, 28 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

I'm not exactly sure what features distinguish a 2020s bikini, but the current image for the 2020s was taken in '07. Leangle30 (talk) 16:40, 26 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
