The result of the proposal was not moved. Until other articles exist to require more precise disambiguation, there's nothing to do here. --BDD (talk) 20:58, 4 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Bill Morris (rugby union)Bill Morris (19th century rugby player) – Another Bill Morris who may be notable enough for Wikipedia played in the 20th century — Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 21:29, 26 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

  • Comment. Then write an article about him before you propose a move. Was the other one Welsh too? Nationality is a better disambiguator. -- Necrothesp (talk) 09:40, 27 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose for now. I agree with Necrothesp. No point moving the article now anyway. If there is another notable Bill Morris who played rugby, maybe the article should be created before we decide to start moving articles around. – Shudde talk 12:21, 27 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Comment. I'm not interested in the man. I was trying to solve a problem reported at The Teahouse.— Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 19:08, 28 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Comment. I have posted on the talk page of the person who requested help so now it is up to him. He seemed interested in creating the article or, since he didn't really have the desire to, asking someone to do it.— Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 19:44, 28 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Comment. There are three notable Welsh rugby union internationals called Bill Morris, there may be league players with the same name too. FruitMonkey (talk) 19:49, 28 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Comment. The List of Wales national rugby union players notes four Welsh Union Internationals called Bill Morris: #147 debut 1896, #292 debut 1916 and two in the 1960s #685 and #697 and I am drafting entries for both of these latter but my attention was originally drawn to the faulty link between one of these and the earliest Bill Morris - as things stood it was incorrect because the link in the list referred to a player in 1963 while the biog to which it linked the man was dead in 1946. I did what I understood was right by asking Teahouse how to set about correcting a problem. Pls don't shoot Vchimpanzee he was only trying to help. If four biogs emerge the question of disambiguation was something I was going to enquire about. Gergaskman (talk) 20:25, 28 August 2013 (UTC) Gergaskman (talk) 20:45, 28 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Comment. Since all four are Bill Morris Welsh rugby union player (or international) then presumably Wikipedia's advice at Naming conventions (sportspeople) Association football (soccer)is the best 'fit' :

a. If the footballers have different nationalities, use their nationality in the disambiguation. b. If the footballers were born in different years, use the year they were born.Gergaskman (talk) 21:04, 28 August 2013 (UTC)Gergaskman (talk) 21:05, 28 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
