It was mentioned that it was on an episode of Auction Kings. I remember it from an old episode of the Simpsons. Homer put on a jacket that he hadn't worn in a long time and found a can of Billy Beer in the inside pocket. taste

does anyone know what it tastes like? did it fail because it tasted bad or because of the advertising?

Probably tasted like any other macro lager. Bland and tasteless.

Answer: I had an unopened case of Billy Beer and last year (April 2011) while camping with friends and family we all drank a can of 30+ year old beer on a group dare. We all agreed that it tasted almost identical to Newcastle Brown Ale. It had the same color, carbonization, texture, smell, and to our amazement even tasted like it (even ended up doing a blind taste test between the two). However none of us that tried it, ever had a Billy Beer when it first came out because we are all in our mid-30’s, but for the cans that are still around these days it does taste like a Newcastle Brown Ale. each brewery supposedly used a different formular. I tried Falls City Beer at about the same time they made Billy. The Falls City wasn't very good, kind of cheap, and I think the Billy was probbaly the same. --Hanover81 01:12, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

This beer is so common !

Can somebody explain the meaning of the last sentence in the first paragraph? Or maybe rewrite it to make it clearer.

All of the cans are equally common.
