Talk:Billy Jack Haynes

edit

This article is one of thousands on Wikipedia that have a link to YouTube in it. Based on the External links policy, most of these should probably be removed. I'm putting this message here, on this talk page, to request the regular editors take a look at the link and make sure it doesn't violate policy. In short: 1. 99% of the time YouTube should not be used as a source. 2. We must not link to material that violates someones copyright. If you are not sure if the link on this article should be removed or you would like to help spread this message contact us on this page. Thanks, ---J.S (t|c) 04:59, 10 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

BLP

edit

I have removed serious allegations involving Haynes from the article and this talk page, as per WP:BLP. We should be very careful about reporting unverified claims of criminality as fact. Once in a Lifetime (talk) 18:57, 22 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

I am not sure what used to be in the article but Haynes claimed to have witnessed the Killing of Don Henry and Kevin Ives.[1][2] -Location (talk) 22:29, 6 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Missing Person

edit

Should this article not be edited to reflect Billy Jack's disappearance? He's been missing for almost a year now, I believe. 86.8.200.75 (talk) 00:43, 10 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Arrested for Murder

I am concerned that no mainstream media sources have picked up this story, and we have to rely on garbage sources like BodySlam and Ringside News for a story about a man killing his wife. I am going to remove for now unless it gets covered by quality sources.LM2000 (talk) 07:15, 10 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Here is a local news report, which I believe broke the story. Although they note that the suspect is a former wrestler, they state: "Police have not identified either the person in custody or the victim, but neighbors say a former pro wrestler lives at the home with his wife." The (unreliable) sources that have picked this up were able to connect the dots and find and identify the individual perhaps, but reliable outlets seem uncomfortable running with the story at this time.LM2000 (talk) 07:50, 10 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

BNN is not listed as unreliable news source

I don't see BNN at all there, it's not connected to Bloomberg as the links in the reference suggest. It's irrelevant though, other reliable sources have started naming Haynes as the suspect in this story, so I do not have any problem with naming him in this article anymore.LM2000 (talk) 03:42, 11 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
