editI remember these being all the rage in the 1960s, mostly for schools as gyms or assembly halls.
But what did end-users think of them ?
I wonder if the shells proved inconvenient, as many found dome houses and yurts to be, with placement of furniture difficult and organisation of spaces awkward, most interior design being based on the rectangle ?
I know one lady who dwelt six weeks in a cedar-plank yurt, then fled with the bitter comment ‘Yurts are for hippies who sit on the floor and eat ferns out of wooden bowls with their fingers.’ 101.174.124.35 (talk) 20:58, 2 January 2021 (UTC)

edit...in this Historic England listing report of the former Dome Sports Centre (closed June 2021) in Mildenhall, Suffolk. One of only two Binishells to survive in the UK, apparently. Hassocks5489 (Floreat Hova!) 15:32, 10 August 2021 (UTC)
