– It's rare for a physical location to not be the WP:PTOPIC of a term, but the village of Birkin only has a population of 141, whereas the Birkin bag (most commonly known as the Birkin, hence not a WP:PTM) has endured as a global symbol of wealth and exclusivity since it was introduced in 1984. There is no primary topic here. feminist🩸 (talk) 04:56, 25 October 2024 (UTC)
- Support the bag has 32,908 views and the surname has 118 compared with only 167[[1]] for the village. Google even from England suggests the bag is more likely though Google is less specific and the village might have a better claim by long-term significance but that seems doubtful so no primary topic. - Support per nomination and Crouch, Swale. Recent similar nominations (Birkdale (disambiguation) → Birkdale; Birkdale → Birkdale, Merseyside and Bedingfield → Bedingfield, Suffolk; Bedingfield (disambiguation) → Bedingfield) were successful at Talk:Birkdale#Requested move 11 October 2024 and Talk:Bedingfield, Suffolk#Requested move 3 October 2024. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 01:20, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
