Ladywood, and Ladywood Constituency
editThere seems to be some confusion between this page, and Ladywood. The ward of Ladywood and the constituency of Ladywood woudl appear two different things - can someone review both this page and the Ladywood page to make sure that there is:
- No contrasting information
- That the information relating to that specific definition of "Ladywood" is correct, and not on the wrong page.
I myself am starting to get confused between the two!! Willdow (Talk) 11:46, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

Vote share changes 1970-February 1974
editThe figures used here for the percentage changes in vote share between the 1970 and February 1974 results would seem to be based on a direct comparison between the two results. However the Ladywood of 1974 was a very different seat in terms of the area that it covered when compared to the Ladywood seat that was fought in 1970. Indeed it was more closely the successor to Birmingham All Saints which had been represented by Brian Walden who became MP for Ladywood in 1974. Equally the pre 1974 seat had included Duddeston Ward, which was moved to Birmingham Small Heath in 1974. Thus the comparison is misleading as a 1970 election fought on the 1974 boundaries would likely have produced a very different result. It would normally be the case that where a seats boundaries changed between elections, that change in vote share would be shown by comparing with the 'notional' result if fought under the old boundaries. If someone has notional 1970 figures then I think these should be used otherwise the % change in vote share should be removed. Dunarc (talk) 20:48, 19 December 2018 (UTC)
