editThis article has been flagged for deletion on the basis of a non-notable professor problem. However, Dr. Poonen is linked to in other wikipedia articles, so obviously the wiki-community feels information about him is valuable. Furthermore, Dr. Poonen is referenced in many wikipedia articles, has numerous awards and honors, and is a valuable member of the mathematics community. The main reason that Dr. Poonen's wiki entry should not be deleted is because he is linked to and referenced on wikipedia, therefore, an article explaining his work is necessary. If you go to his homepage at http://www.math.berkeley.edu/~poonen, you'd see he's moved to MIT. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.120.68.66 (talk) 15:25, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
That's why I changed the wiki article to reflect this, although someone edited it back. Until further evidence suggests otherwise, it seems reasonable to assume that he's moved to MIT. Vecter (talk) 19:00, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
Erdos-Bacon number
editIf he coauthored with someone with Erdos number 1, shouldn't his Erdos number be 2, and shouldn't his Bacon number be 3, making the sum 5 instead of 3? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.134.204.19 (talk) 18:14, 11 June 2016 (UTC)
