I have noticed that this article was deleted 5 months ago. Unfortunately, I had not seen it to post an argument. Black Cats is a well known Persian band from the 1960's which is still around. It has had several band members that have moved on and found success on their own, which also means they meet the criterion #6 of WP:BAND. In addition, they meet Criterion #5, as they were on the 3 of the biggest Persian record labels with at least 8 albums. All 3 labels have a Wiki page, so it is proof that they are on notable labels. They also meet criterion #11 and #12 with TV appearances and Radio airplay in Iranian TV and radio stations, although I am unable provide any proof of this, because such data is not available. Finally, this is not an argument from the guidelines, but ask any Persian if they know Black Cats or some of its past members such as Ebi, Shahram Shabpareh, Kamran & Hooman, etc, and 99% will know them. It is a very important band in their history. Please do realize that the citations are weak, mainly because they are Persian and not covered in English publications, but also their music was banned in Iran for many years, due to the Islamic Revolution and I believe it still is, so naturally the Iranian press are not allowed to write about them. If you are considering deleting this page again, let's discuss it here first.

Contested deletion

This page should not be speedily deleted because...

First of all this article has been improved with more content and references and even rewritten, so it is not identical to the old version, plus this article meets the WP:BAND requirements. I had already noticed that this article was deleted 5 months ago. It also didn't have enough votes. Only 2 people participated in voting. Unfortunately, I had not seen it to post an argument. Black Cats is a well known Persian band from the 1960's which is still around. It has had several band members that have moved on and found success on their own, which also means they meet the criterion #6 of WP:BAND, which states: "Is an ensemble that contains two or more independently notable musicians, or is a musician who has been a reasonably prominent member of two or more independently notable ensembles." The past band members that are super famous in Persian music are Ebi, Shahram Shabpareh, Hassan Shamaizadeh, and Farhad Mehrad.

In addition, they meet Criterion #5, as they were on the 3 of the biggest Persian record labels with at least 8 albums. All 3 labels have a Wiki page, so it is proof that they are on notable labels. They also meet criterion #11 and #12 with TV appearances and Radio airplay in Iranian TV and radio stations, although I am unable provide any proof of this, because such data is not available.

Finally, this is not an argument from the guidelines for keeping, but just FYI, ask any Persian if they know Black Cats or some of its past members such as Ebi, Shahram Shabpareh, Kamran & Hooman, etc, and 99% will know them. It is a very important band in their history. One more note: I have found several new citations from credible sources. In particular from Javanan Magazine and BBC News Farsi. Javanan is a Persian print and online magazine that is produced outside of Iran, in the USA and is very well known.
