I started the merge request. "Black Point" is the encompassing name of the entire area south of Bugeia/Bahia and East of Atherton. "Green Point" is, on a map, the next point over (on the water north of Green Point Lane), but it not the name of a section of the city. The term "green point" is of course used to distinguish the portion of black point that is immediately north of Hwy 37, but this is only used in comparisons. If the above is all true (which it is), "Black Point-Green Point, California" should be merged into "Black Point, California," or at least referenced in a disambiguation link at the top of each article. On the other hand, the official Census Designated Place name is "Black Point-Green Point, California," which implies "Black Point, California" should be merged into "Black Point-Green Point, California." Either way, they are two articles which cover the exact same area. Talk amongst yourselves, and, if you're reading this, there's no debate actively going on, and no one's made the call yet, please do.--Mrcolj (talk) 17:45, 9 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
- Yes, the two articles should be merged. I'm not sure which way the merge should go, however. --Stepheng3 (talk) 18:33, 9 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
