Review
editDear, the article is amazing! Please keep updating it even after finishing the course. -- Douglas Aguiar do Nascimento (talk) 14:17, 26 June 2020 (UTC) This article is new for me. interesting topic! --Muhammad Septian Alamsyah (talk) 14:38, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
Thanks so much for review. --Lu Wan (talk) 14:43, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
Review as part of Wikipedia:GLAM/PoliMi/2020
editI have one question: your first sentence "The black box model of power converter or switched-mode power supply, ..." says, the black box model of power converter is also called switched-mode power supply (smps). To smps an article exists. Is it now the same, or different? You may distinguish in the sentence: is it also called smps, or a part of smps, or...? Like it is now, it is confusing in my opinion.
To not get point deductions, you should check the references again. Every Section should finish with a source!! Best, --Knosperus (talk) 14:39, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
Thanks about the advice, I will change the first sentence, and check references. --Lu Wan (talk) 14:43, 26 June 2020 (UTC) Thanks again Knosperus, I rethink about it. the switched-mode power supply is just a type of power converter, so it is better to keep power converter only, in order to keep it general. --Lu Wan (talk) 15:31, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
Another Review as part of Wikipedia:GLAM/PoliMi/2020
editFrancesco Linsalata hello, the article is good and the topic is really interesting. I have found some typos. As suggested by others colleagues, some references are missing, in particular in Modeling Method section.
Hi Francesco Linsalata thanks for your advice and your review, I added more references, from 9 to 12 now. Thanks you!--Lu Wan (talk) 15:33, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
Observations and suggestions for improvements
editThe following observations and suggestions for improvements were collected, following expert review of the article within the Science, Tecnology, Society and Wikipedia course at the Politecnico di Milano, in June 2020.
- English should be improved, there are a few singular/plural mismatches, sometimes corresponding to generalization of the subject of the contribution (e.g. the title itself suggests a single model of a single power converter, ""Black box models of power converters"", or maybe ""black box modelling of a power converter""), behavior -> behavioural (?), some articles are missing, e.g. ""is regarded as linear system"" maybe should be ""as a linear system"".
- The article is extremely concise and does not, in some points, further comments concepts that I think should be better explained. The included figure displays 6 different circuit models, but no explanation is given and is not clear if the figure is derived from existing literature or made by the author of the contribution, in the first case some additional reference should be provided otherwise some more details on the six circuits should be provided, as it is the figure is not much useful.
