Why does the history seem to act like Deafheaven was the first blackgaze band after Neige. It was a full-fledged genre before Deafheaven gave it mainstream popularity, with bands like Cold Body Radiation and An Autumn For Crippled Children being recognized in the underground. There is also so much more to the development of atmospheric black metal, the predecessor of blackgaze, than just Neige and Burzum.
