Tanneries and Kaolin quarry and gold
editBlandford was known for tanneries that supplied employment and income for families in the early 18th century. Water and hides were plentiful enough to make this profitable until the larger mills took over. Kaolin was also dug in Blandford and formed into bricks at the Blandford Brick Co. located in Russell, MA The gold mine located off Chester Rd. is little known today and would take some research to locate again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mabloodhound (talk • contribs) 15:48, 13 October 2011 (UTC)
Merger proposal
editIt has been suggested by User:Biruitorul that Porter Memorial Library (Massachusetts) be merged into this article.
- Support - The Porter Library article is small and the library is a part of Blandford's infrastructure. Richard Apple (talk) 05:18, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
