Should it be Bleu De France or Bleu de France? I don't know French well enough to know. John Anderson (talk) 12:36, 3 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

I'd put a small d : Bleu de France... I think French rather call it "bleu roi", "bleu-roi" (king's blue). But strange wikipedia, in peoples' mind "bleu roi" is a kind of navy or dark blue, I thought, like that visible in fleur de lis flags (Ile de France flag, and coats of arms of Paris, Lyon, Touraine, Bourgogne, Maine, etc). On en apprend tous les jours! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.97.187.102 (talk) 06:56, 12 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
In France it's called "Bleu roi", not "Bleu de France". For a few years "Bleu roi" on the French Wiki was linked to "Royal Blue" on the English Wiki; it was a straight translation but it's not the same colour ("Royal Blue" is a darker blue). This mistake is now corrected – although the French still prefer the name "Bleu roi". Pat22 (talk) 21:55, 28 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
