I would propose to create a seperate article to describe the iron age hill fort, shown as Blewburton Hill on OS Maps Pahazzard (talk) 22:48, 27 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Notable People clean-up

edit

Having cleaned up the Notable People section, with inline citations to verify that the people in the section had in fact lived in Blewbury, there remain two unreferenced notable people:

  • John Revel

I can find no information as to who John Revel is, and he has remained unreferenced in the section for at least 5 years (citation needed tag is from 2015).

As far as I can tell, there are no sources saying Michael Martin-Harvey lived in Blewbury. He has remained unreferenced for at least 3 years (citation needed tag is from 2017).

Given there are no sources confirming either John or Michael lived in Blewbury, and that this issue hasn't been fixed over the last 5 or 3 years respectively, I have concluded that either the information is incorrect, unclear or not of sufficient notability to be included. Clearly if they warranted inclusion in the article, the issue would have been fixed and references added, as there has been sufficient time for this to happen.

I have decided, therefore, to remove both from this section. If you have reliable sources indicating either of them lived in Blewbury, and believe they are of importance to Blewbury's history, please do feel free to re-add them, provided you cite a reliable source. Thanks! Mxtt.prior (talk) 09:20, 18 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Photographs of Blewbury

edit

I would like to update the hero picture of Blewbury. The village has plenty to offer with chalk streams, open spaces, listed buildings, a beautiful church and so to have a photo taken in shadow of the main road is not indicative of what the village has to offer and is causing harm to local businesses. My preference would be to have a photo of The Red Lion in the heart of the village, but I don’t really care, I just want this photo removed for when people search whether they want to visit or stay in Blewbury.
