Dear Grand'mere Eugene. Thank you so much for your guidance, direction, and input. I have read the updated Blick Art Materials bio and am so pleased that it now more accurately reflects the company's history, scope, and vision. I was wondering if we might make a few edits. I'm including here the updated bio I wrote (edited down from my original submission), which contains a bit more information about our customer base, our product line, the addition of a new distribution facility in Monroe, New Jersey (and the fact that we have TWO distribution centers in Galesburg, Illinois), and further clarification about The Business Committee for the Arts (which is a division of Americans for the Arts). I'm posting the revisions here, and I think you'll agree that in no way are they promotional or self-serving, merely striving to clarify and fine-tune. Also, under History, paragraph 2, "Blick's" should be replaced with "Blick."

Again, many thanks for moving this along ... I'm learning so much about the Wikipedia process, and I'm impressed with the level of professionalism and integrity that exists within this organization.

Blick Art Materials is a retail and catalog business that supplies professional and amateur artists, students, scholastic art programs, and anyone requiring art supplies for business or pleasure. It was founded as a mail order business by Dick Blick in 1911 and purchased by Robert Metzenberg in 1947. The company operates more than 65 retail stores in the United States, including those purchased from The Art Store in 2004, and from Utrecht Art Supplies in 2013. One of the primary suppliers of art supplies in the United States, Blick Art Materials offers over 90,000 products, including 8,000 sold under the Blick name, such as paints, brushes, canvas, artist papers, pastels, pencils, and markers. Blick’s Utrecht brand products include handcrafted paints, mediums, and brushes. The company’s home office is in Highland Park, Illinois, and it operates three distribution centers, two in Galesburg, Illinois, and one in Monroe, New Jersey. Robert Buchsbaum has been Chief Executive Officer since 1996.

@Asghunt: I've incorporated the text you suggested above into the existing article, with some in the lead paragraph and the rest in sections of the article. The lead is supposed to summarize the article content that is documented in the text that follows, so it may seem repetitive, but it structures the article to give a short description up front, which may be all that site visitors will read about the company.
