EAS activation?
editIs EAS ever actually activated for Blizzard Warnings? I did a Google search, and I could not find any examples of Blizzard Warnings that request EAS activation (normally any warning that requests EAS activation will contain the text "EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED"). EAS activation is normally only for Tornado, Flash Flood, and occasionally Severe Thunderstorm Warnings (the latter typically only for very severe thunderstorms such as with very strong winds and/or very large hail). Blizzard Warnings are not short fuse warnings, and thus it seems a bit unnecessary to activate EAS for them (this is why they were removed from the Wireless Emergency Alerts sent to cell phones). editHello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Blizzard Warning. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20120402135508/http://www.theweathernetwork.com/news/storm_watch_stories3&stormfile=what_is_a_blizzardij_010211 to http://www.theweathernetwork.com/news/storm_watch_stories3&stormfile=what_is_a_blizzardij_010211
