Fair use rationale for Image:Newsies OST.jpg

edit

Image:Newsies OST.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Juelz Santana

edit

Juelz Santana has written a song in which he samples 'King of New York,' which is also named 'King of New York.' I was wondering if that was a resonable addition to this wiki. (Speedcurve 06:27, 16 November 2007 (UTC))Reply

Early Newsies and deleted songs

edit

Some one might want to put in a section about newsies was originally called "Hard Times" and had serverl deleted songs like one called"What will become of the boy" song by Sarah. There is a copy of the script at www.newsiesfreak.com i would happily do this myself but i'm new to wiki and do not know how to do this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.113.222.5 (talk) 22:46, 5 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Good Plot Summary

edit

This is a well-written and succinct plot summary. With the rabid fans of this movie, I expected an epic plot synopsis, laying out blow-by-blow what goes down in this movie, but this one is short and to the point. Well done. Please dont change or alter it anyone-SF —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.237.230.81 (talk) 07:33, 8 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

I was thinking that the plot was a bit unclear and I am intending to do some small clean up on it. Nothing major. If anyone is opposed to this please let me know. Or if anyone would like to help or has any suggestions I would be be very glad to hear! Mellie.N.D (talk)Mellie .N.D —Preceding undated comment added 01:07, 9 June 2009 (UTC).Reply

Christian Bale just wouldn't stop singing

edit

Funny vandalism: 'Although the film was not originally intended to be a musical, Christian Bale just wouldn't stop singing. It contains twelve songs...' will be reverted within minutes I am sure, just found it to be really funny for some reason, maybe because of the happy uplifting image in contrast to his recent curse-filled rant... 199.214.17.23 (talk) 18:29, 6 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Golden Rasberrys

edit

The Golden Rasberrys are trash. There is no reason this article, or any article, should site these nominations. If any one would take the time to go to www.razzies.com, they would find out it is a site laden with spam Ads and pop ups.

Besides that, who runs this site? Who cares what movies they did not like? Why does it matter? There is a good reason why something like the Academy Awards should be noted. That is a fairly respected organization that has a history in judging the best qualities in movies. The Razzies is a joke, most likely whiny teenagers in a basement. --Coreyfarkas (talk) 16:41, 4 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Lead paragraph

edit

"The movie is widely claimed to have gained a cult following after its initial failure at the box office." Of course...every film that has had more viewers on home video than in its original theatrical run is described as a "cult" film. If you could do a comprehensive scan of Wikipedia you'd probably find that there are 100s of 1000s of "cult films." The term is highly overused. PurpleChez (talk) 10:44, 15 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
