Awards
editI have just added some awards from various blogs while on a fruitless search for some decent references. The current reference 4, to sourceforge does not seem to link to anything now about the awards. I know some of the Blue Obelisk members are active on wikipedia. Could you point us to sources we can use? --Bduke (Discussion) 00:31, 13 July 2014 (UTC)
Bduke, you can ask on the mailing list. Egonw (talk) 07:26, 17 July 2014 (UTC)
Bduke, I have confirmed both awards with Peter and updated the Blue Obelisk wiki page (of which the link is updated too). Egonw (talk) 07:01, 18 July 2014 (UTC)
Many thanks. I think you have responded well to my prompting. However, I think we would all like to see a few more independent sources for the awards. --Bduke (Discussion) 11:10, 18 July 2014 (UTC)
All Blue Obelisks are purchased by me and most are handed out personally by me. Usually someone such as Egonw adds the names to the page. In many cases there is a public occasion such as http://instagram.com/p/rccOntj_57/?modal=true which is a photo of the award to WikiChemists at Wikimania London 2014. There is also video of me handing it over.
In a few cases such as Jen Thomas there was no formal occasion and I made the award known. I can personally vouch for all the awards on the page at this revission. Petermr (talk) 06:51, 9 August 2014 (UTC)
Is Blue Obelisk still active? I am not seeing anything recent. But then, I am at the other side of the world now. --Bduke (talk) 02:50, 28 February 2023 (UTC)
