ehh... never mind, it's up top already --Geopgeop 04:35, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
I've waited long enough, I'll create the category. --Geopgeop 09:00, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
Florida
editThe Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc. page [1] shows some U.S. Routes that are Blue Star Memorial Highways:
--Geopgeop 09:55, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
- One on U.S. Route 19, exists in Crystal River, but I always thought they were used strictly along one specific route, and mainly on the East Coast. ----DanTD 15:06, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
New Jersey
editHere's the link where New Jersey routes are known: [2]
Here are the routes:
Illinois
editTo re-align route 176, we removed a Blue Star sign mid-1972 from the southern intersection infield of routes 47 and 176 east of Marengo. As far as I know it was never relocated. --Robertkeller 18:39, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
Virginia
editThe frontage road along southbound Interstate 95 in Virginia is named "Blue Star Memorial Highway" in Southern Virginia. I used to think that was strictly for I-95 itself. ----DanTD 15:08, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
Tennessee
editBlue Star Memorial Highways in Tennessee are listed in the Tennessee Code, Title 54, Chapter 5, Part 10, Section 54-5-1001. Mapsax (talk) 23:47, 3 March 2010 (UTC)

We need to source and expand the body of this article
editCurrently, the only sources are on the list of highways. However, the body of this article is small and unsourced. The North Carolina link looks like it might be a place to go for information for the body of the article. The list, I believe, is a distraction, and the article might do well to dispense with it. SchuminWeb (Talk) 04:39, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
- I took some of the southbound North Carolina Welcome Center last year, but more recently I got some at US 6 in front of Brewster (Metro-North station). ---------User:DanTD (talk) 02:10, 17 July 2016 (UTC)

Maine
editI know there are markers off I-95, but I'm not sure which routes are designated. http://www.kennebecvalleygardenclub.org/blue-star-highway-markers/ states that Route 1 is, but I know of a sign on Wilson St. in Brewer (1A, maybe?). http://barharborgardenclub.com/?p=6068 lists a marker on Rte. 3. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 17:16, 15 December 2017 (UTC)
Split discussion
editIf you remove the current List section, there's not much here. There are available sources to expand this article but should the list be split from here?
Some available sourcing: [3] [4] [5] [6] [7]
It looks like grabbing the relevant state's DOT page at least gives understanding how it's adopted through the state's Legislature. My focus on the sourcing is more about the program summarized for each state versus trying to maintain some kind of running list. – The Grid (talk) 15:26, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
