Talk:Blumenthal family

Latest comment: 8 years ago by InternetArchiveBot in topic External links modified

I hope I am posting this in the right place. Could whoever it is PLEASE stop deleting the word "von" from in front of family names? It really doesn't help the researcher. "von Blumenthal" is the name of a small, aristocratic German family, which is quite important in German history. "Blumenthal" is the name of lots of families whose interest is of a quite different order.

I know that some members of this family have in modern times dropped the "von" because they don't like the upper-class association, but that is their personal choice and should not influence articles designed to help serious researchers.
