Redundant references to Fallout 3

edit

I noticed 2 redundant references to fallout 3, so I've edited/combined the 2. I don't think the fact of Fallout3 being successful or not is relevant, nor as much detail about where in the game they are, a simple note of the placement is sufficient. I know we all madly edit wiki pages when we think we know something, but obviously someone didn't read the whole article before they edited. Max.inglis (talk) 18:32, 26 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

I felt that the Fallout 3 references did not need to have their own section, so I put them under "Career" 130.85.234.151 (talk) 15:00, 10 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

"Dear Hearts and Gentle People" wasn't featured anywhere in the actual game AFAIK, just in the E3 trailer. --Keelhaul (talk) 18:11, 1 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Cleanup

edit

This article is a bit cluttered. Are all the dates of his family's births and deaths necessary? They seem rather superfluous. —Preceding unsigned comment added by VmanBG (talkcontribs) 00:00, 4 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

This statement needs clarification.

edit

The article states: "On September 14, 1952, Bob replaced Phil Harris as the bandleader on The Jack Benny Program, remaining until Benny retired the radio show in 1955 after 23 years."

Is the article referring to Benny's radio program or his television program? Benny retired his radio program in 1955, but he continued on television for another ten years. Bob Crosby was the band leader on the television show, too, but the article doesn't say for how long. A little clarification would be appreciated.97.73.64.143 (talk) 02:52, 15 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

OR/POV hatnotes (7-1-2018)

edit

Both 'Original Research' and 'POV' hatnotes were added to the Bob Crosby#Singer and bandleader section this date. The section is riddled with statements reflecting both, such as "...the Crosby band managed to authentically combine the fundamental elements of the older jazz style with the then-rising-in-popularity swing style; the resulting music they produced as a big band had a sound and style that few if any other big bands even attempted to emulate."

Obviously an enthusiastic fan of the Crosby orchestra, possibly with knowledge of some of the band members, is responsible for many of these uncited, clearly POV statements. Rightfully they should be struck, or at least rewritten: instead I have added the appropriate hatnotes in the hope whoever posted them will offer legitimate published sources for their claims.
