Spelling of middle name = Cummin or Cumin

edit

The article includes two 'emmms' in the spelling of his middle name. Acknowledging that military records are often inaccurate, his military service record located here lists him as Cumin. The APH listing in the Parliamentary Handbook has him listed here as Cummin. Is there evidence of the correct spelling?

I'd go with the Handbook, to be honest. It's generally pretty accurate. Frickeg (talk) 08:03, 28 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
Agree. Also cumin is a spice, and I've never seen it used as a person's name. -- Jack of Oz ... speak! ... 21:38, 30 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

relationship to poet Khalil Gibran

edit

I'm a bit concerned with the reliability of sources about the "has been described" relationship with Khalil Gibran. Other than Barry Jones who simply says that he was a cousin, everyone else seems to be hedging their bets with weasel words like we are using "it has been said", "it is claimed", which usually means "we don't have any evidence, but, hey, it sounds like a good story". I am concerned because the information is now in the infobox from where it might be harvested into Wikidata as a "fact". Kerry (talk) 20:29, 7 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

I've removed it from the infobox until we have something more solid. Kerry (talk) 20:33, 7 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
