Appointment to KCH board

edit

Sir Bob was appointed to the KCH board yesterday, I'm an employee of KCH so using the talk page rather than making the direct edit. I suggest adding the following to the end of the Career section:

In December 2014 he was appointed as the Chair of [[King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust]] to begin in June 2015<ref>[https://www.kch.nhs.uk/news/public/news/view/15909 Announcement on the KCH website]</ref>.

I have added it using an independent source I found doing a quick Google News search. Generally speaking, we don't want to use sources like press releases or the company website. CorporateM (Talk) 19:49, 18 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Kerslake review

edit

I think https://www.kerslakearenareview.co.uk deserves a mention on the page, but I'm afraid I don't know enough to add it - e.g. who got Kerslake to head the review? Did he do any other ones? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.13.174.213 (talk) 04:39, 3 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Baron Kerslake

edit

Hi. During his lifetime he was conferred as Baron Kerslake, and is thus entitled to be addressed as Bob Kerslake, Baron Kerslake, in line with many other recipients of this honour. The lead-in to his article refers to him as such in bold, so why is the article title itself now at odds with that? "Long-standing" titles of articles are not preserved simply because they are long-standing - they are subject to edits in the same way as the content of those articles. Discussion commenced per the edit summary of the latest page move. Ref (chew)(do) 19:56, 5 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

The convention for peers is available at WP:NCPEER. Kerslake was very well known by his personal name and received a peerage after he retired. Being given a title doesn't make it the person's common name or the most recognisable article title; and is less concise. The specific convention and article titles policy both favour remaining at Bob Kerslake. Ralbegen (talk) 08:29, 7 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Head of the Home Civil Service

edit

The lead mentions this as defining his notability, yet it does not appear at all in the article proper. Also the lead and infobox do not agree on his start date. Davidships (talk) 15:20, 8 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
