Explaining a reversion

edit

I reverted these changes by 63.87.241.187 because when I went to verify the information he'd put in about journalist/dissident Bob Mills, I could not verify the existence of such a person or of his book, or of any book with "Years of Industrial Capitalism" in the title, and when I investigated our anon's previous contributions I discovered that they were hardly trust-inspiring. -- Antaeus Feldspar 06:38, 19 Nov 2004 (UTC)

What?

"and has been rumored to take over David Beckham's money for his beloved team, Leyton Orient." I'd rewrite this to make sense but I don't know what it's trying to say!Patrick lovell (talk) 20:04, 17 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Accent

edit

Can anyone explain why, despite coming from Chester, he has a Mockney accent? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.96.96.156 (talk) 11:14, 2 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Born in Chester, after a very short spell training for the Merchant Navy...

Those in-utero training courses are great, aren't they? Silas Maxfield (talk) 19:26, 18 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Controversies

edit

I just rewrote it because of the rules of that round. The whole point of Defend the Indefensible is that the host throws out an offensive statement and the contestants have to defend it. Technically, Mills didn't say "give me 20 minutes with her and I'm pretty sure I could turn around Clare Balding", but he did respond to that statement. Drjayphd (talk) 20:57, 4 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Mockney

edit

Robert of Cheshire is one of the worlds top mockneys. Apparently he is also a comedian (citation needed). He also claims to have done something or another but as people can't understand his mockney accent it was hard to tell what. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.30.182.221 (talk) 09:34, 31 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
