editApologies but my knowledge of wikipedia editing is limited. That said I wanted to point out the Bob Neills page seems to imply that James Cleverly succeeded Bob as MP for B&C. In fact he succeeded him in the Assembly Seat. I'd make the change myself but I don't want to screw the page up. Feel free to delete this message once the change has been made. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.84.96.218 (talk) 16:01, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
This article is riddled with POV statements that are clearly intended to affect people's perceptions of Mr Neill as he heads into Thursday's election. Examples include:
- "He has 3 paid positions: He is a member of the London Assembly for Bexley and Bromley (though he lives near to Canary Wharf in London's East End), a barrister at 2 Bedford Row Chambers [1] (he is a member of the Irish Bar), and a Non executive Director of North East London Strategic Health Authority." The implication - that he is greedy and already overstretched - is clear.
- "The legality of his candidacy has been questioned, as he is a member of the North East London Strategic Health Authority he is explicitly prevented from standing for Parliament under the House of Commons Disqualification Act of 1975." There has been almost no discussion of this issue in the mainstream press; it is not a credible issue.
- Look at the Daily Telegraph today! Rob.derosa 12:39, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
- "A Freemason, he is a member of the Greater London Lodge." I can see no reason for this statement being included, other than casting aspersions on Mr Neill.

Can't see anything wrong with those statements; they are all verifiable. Why not add some balancing material about his fondness for motherhood, apple pie, et al? Croslandist
- Where does it say he is a Freemason? Rob.derosa 12:46, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
Freemasonry link now changed to GLA register of interests, not unsubstantiated article.
Reveresed changes. His numer of jobs are a statement of fact with supportive links given.
He lives in Southend on Sea, but has a second home in Bromley / Chislehurst, for which he claims the maximum Additional Costs Allowance, but according to his declarations, he owns a residential flat in London from which rental income is received. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.195.252.51 (talk) 06:41, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
Succession box error
editThe succession box is displaying an error at the top. I don't know how to fix that. Anyone? --bodnotbod (talk) 14:41, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
- Looks like we have not got an entry for the London Assembly at {{s-par}}. You can probably just create {{s-par/london}} with a link to London Assembly and update documentation to fix it but may be best to ask on the template talk page first just in case I missed something.
