Lede is broken
editAt the moment the first sentence of the lede is gibberish. Maybe someone knows how to check the history and find the last grammatical version? Wegesrand (talk) 12:32, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
I just wanted to add that the first sentence of that article is Still gibberish and I'm glad this person noted it. This is my first edit and I don't know if I'm doing it right. --Persefony (talk) 00:44, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
- @Wegesrand and Persefony: I've rewritten the bulk of the article, the lede should now (finally) be intelligible. —Nizolan (talk · c.) 19:04, 24 May 2021 (UTC)
- Grand; I hereby withdraw my alarm. Wegesrand (talk) 11:56, 25 May 2021 (UTC)
Section after "Norman conquest" makes no sense to me
editThe sentences after 'However, the Norman conquest proved one thing', don't seem to talk about the body politic -- or at least if they do, I don't find the structure of the sentences conducive to understanding how all this relates to the body politic.
