i removed the photo, i have never seen a body suit that was that sheer, and the photo appeared to be photo shopped anyways. i don't kno whow to put a photo in or i would put one in that was more appropriate. also body suits are sometimes undergarments but are often worn as normal shirts and not undergarments. i rarely edit pages or leave comments i don't really know how to do much on wikipedia or i would try and fix this up more. hopefully someone else can fix it soon. or maybe i will have to learn. -moonfroggy

i have observed around me been to many clothing stores and looked at many clothing catalogs and i have never seen a body suit as an undergarment, i think maybe it is the snaps make them uncomfortable? although lots of womens undergarments are uncomfortable. a quick search online of body suits comes up with no undergarments. why are two pictures needed and why is there two body suit entries on wikipedia? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Body_suit -moonfroggy

Since i created the Mock Neck Bodysuit Image. I'll add a undergarment version with a less ehm.... sexual appealing caracter. Hope everyone will be happy with it. -GMLSX

I wear these and leos all the time, both under a top and by themselves with jeans or denim skirts, and I've never found the snaps uncomfortable. BTW, fixed a couple typos. Karanne (talk) 19:37, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

article's definition doesn't match Merriam-Webster dictionary

Article starts with "A bodysuit or shorthand body is a one-piece form-fitting garment that covers the torso and the crotch, ...." which doesn't match 2nd definition at https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/bodysuit . That Merriam-Websiter page says

1. : a close-fitting one-piece garment for the torso often with sleeves ...
2. : a usually close-fitting one-piece garment that covers most or all of the body

(Skin-tight garment#Bodysuit says "A bodysuit covers the torso, crotch, and sometimes the legs, hands, and feet.")

To unprecise at the moment. Either confused with a jumpsuit or catsuit or it means the shape wear version, wich is more in the realm of a ankle to throat girdle. The last one is a bodysuit but nothing to wear as a halloween costume.--Tobias ToMar Maier (talk) 23:06, 24 July 2019 (UTC)

I don't think having a strap, velcro, or fastener at the crotch is a defining characteristic of a bodysuit. As well as the merriam-webster definition, the photo used in the article says "Reason for considering the garment a bodysuit and not a leotard or swimsuit: Although the back is covered with more fabric than a thong leotard or swimsuit, it is also transparent and reveals more of the anatomy that is usually accepted in public places ore show stages."
