To the best of my knowledge the Bofors 37mm AT gun wasn't manufactured in the UK, althought Britain did use it in the North African desert during WW2. -- Cabalamat 17:11, 28 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

It would be incorrect to merge Saab Bofors Dynamics with Bofors, in fact it would be a move in the wrong direction. Saab Bofors Dynamics is a subsidiary of Saab AB and although an outgrowth of the generic Bofors, as is BAE Systems Bofors, they no longer share a common corporate culture. The Bofors page must be rewritten to reflect the historic company and its products up until the division of the companies, but should only include products and history that do not belong to the two current companies. Merging Saab Bofors Dynamics with Bofors would be like merging the US with Great Britain.

In this game, there is a gun (a skin upgrade)that says BOFORS on the side. Should it be added to this article in new section that this is so?--69.120.63.248 23:54, 28 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

American use of the Bofors 37 mm Anti-Tank Gun L/45

edit

A new source added to the article apparently states that USA used and licensed the Bofors 37 mm anti tank gun L/45. As someone who has seen actual export documentation for the Bofors 37 mm atg L/45 i have never come across a mention of the US licensing the gun. As the source is a book about "Naval Weapons of World War Two" i think the book refers to an older Bofors 37 mm naval gun, and not the classic anti tank gun. Matrek, can u supply the relevant pages of the book as u added the source?--Blockhaj (talk) 03:34, 9 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

I rather referred to the 40 mm /56 gun. Matrek (talk) 04:06, 9 February 2022 (UTC). Fixed.Reply
