Fair use rationale for Image:BoinkBookCover.jpg
editImage:BoinkBookCover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:13, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Speedy delete
editI contest the speedy deletion of this article. The magazine has been discussed in the media, not only on Howard Stern's program but in newspapers as well. Also, the fact that a college student is running it and using other college students for models is unique and, I believe, notable. If I can borrow a point of criteria from WP:PORNBIO, it states "Performer has made unique contributions to a pornographic film genre." This is a magazine and not a performer but the point is the same. Can the article use some cleanup, sure. But I don't feel it should be deleted. Dismas|(talk) 20:28, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
Frequency of Publication/Continued Existence
editI got rid of part of the sentence that said the magazine is published 4 times a year. Only 5 issues have been published since Feb. '05. That averages out to less than 2 issues a year. Along those lines I don't think a new issue has been put out in quite some time and there's no indication on their website that one is forthcoming. If someone knows whether the magazine has folded, they may want to add that info. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Thehumburger (talk • contribs) 01:15, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
- There was a short mention of the magazine in the October issue of Playboy that eluded to the magazine closing up shop. I'll see what I can dig up. Dismas|(talk) 02:12, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
- Their online edition seems to be gone: cyberboink.com is no more. TruthGal (talk) 07:30, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
- And as of 13 Sep 2009 boinkmagazine.com is a dead link. TruthGal (talk) 20:19, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
- The dead link was removed and the reference section was updated to reflect this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cameronled (talk • contribs) 02:05, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
- Judging by the comments in this thread the magazine reached issue #6 before folding, and the editors appear to have vanished from the face of the Earth. -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 19:22, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
