Reception
edit@Kingsif: Hi! Just wondering, I was looking where in the reference Maduro stressed that Bolívar was Venezuelan and not Colombian. Best regards! --Jamez42 (talk) 00:31, 16 June 2019 (UTC)
- @Jamez42: At "...distorsione la historia del aristócrata nacido en Caracas" (for others: "...distorting the history of the aristocrat born in Caracas"). Kingsif (talk) 00:37, 16 June 2019 (UTC)
- Now I understand why my search didn't give any results. Thanks! --Jamez42 (talk) 01:02, 16 June 2019 (UTC)
Genre
editCan we say that it is a telenovela?, because the official site of the production says that it is a series. That an actor or person says that it is a telenovela, does not give reason to think that it is.--Bradford(Talk) 03:10, 20 September 2019 (UTC)
- A lot of shows take their genre from how critics have described it, to say all the critics agree it is both (whereas Netflix itself just says "drama") suggests that it's worth mentioning, at least. Kingsif (talk) 03:12, 20 September 2019 (UTC)
Episode listings
edit@Bradford: The episodes are edited differently - those shown on Netflix have slightly different content to those shown in Colombia. Since most readers will only be able to watch the Netflix episodes, I thought it would be a good idea to include those. Kingsif (talk) 15:24, 24 September 2019 (UTC)
- @Kingsif: It is not necessary to have two episode tables, the series has 60 episodes, with only one episode table is enough.--Bradford(Talk) 15:33, 24 September 2019 (UTC)
- @Bradford: My concern comes with the episode descriptions; for example, in Colombia it is episode 4 when Simon leaves for Europe - in the rest of the world it is episode 6. This may confuse readers, especially since most are in the rest of the world. Though, there is a note that the episodes are different, and for just a series article (rather than an episode list article or a season 1 article) two lists is excessive. Perhaps there is another way to express the differences? (Separately, when the episode count gets higher I would recommend a separate article; 60 is a lot) Kingsif (talk) 15:39, 24 September 2019 (UTC)
- One way to clarify that, would be by placing a note in the episodes. There really are many episodes and having two episode tables is very excessive. In fact when I placed the "Television ratings" section, it was to imply that the episodes shown there are those of Caracol Televisión. That is why it is headed "Television ratings" and as a subheading "Episodes". It will depend on who reads understand in their own way, but the section is completely clear and even has notes to answer any questions. But if you have a better proposal, it would be good to work on it in a sandbox.--Bradford(Talk) 15:59, 24 September 2019 (UTC)

Total of episodes
edit@Kingsif: What should we take into account, the 60 episodes that appear on Netflix, or the 69 episodes that were broadcast in Caracol? For now 57 episodes have been aired, but the series apparently won't end yet. And according to this source, he says the series has a total of 69 episodes.-- Bradford (Talk) 19:41, 13 December 2019 (UTC)
- @Bradford: It's a difficult question, because it was first broadcast on Netflix, but first broadcast in its primary country by Caracol. Usually the episodes of the first broadcast would be used, with mentions of where others differ. I'll ask at WikiProject Television. Kingsif (talk) 20:39, 13 December 2019 (UTC)
Discussion at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Television#Different_broadcast_episodes_-_which_to_use; this says use the Colombia (Caracol) release in the episode box. Kingsif (talk) 21:47, 13 December 2019 (UTC)
