"By 1311 Bolingbroke had passed through marriage into the ownership of John of Gaunt and the House of Lancaster." Not possible. John was not born until about 1340. I guess it actually became a property of the Duchy of Lancaster, which John later acquired by marriage to the heiress Blanche. However, I don't have the details or references to hand, so I hope someone more expert can pick this problem up. Sjwells53 (talk) 20:47, 7 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
