Hi NaijAmericanScientist. This seems like a pretty good start. The fact that she's ACS president and was an ACS fellow are good indicators of notability. Some sense of her career between 1981 and 2014 would be helpful, some idea of her contribution to the field. It's obvious from this that she is an important person in the field, but it's not clear what she has done to get to this point.
Your sources are somewhat independent, which is good, but they're not totally (the Chemical & Engineering News article is written by her, for example).
