Contested deletion
editKeep. Reasons stated for deletion are a) "article is only about a person". What exactly is that supposed to even mean? Yes, she is a person. And b) "references are mostly from her blog". Actually, there are 9 references in the article. Two happen to be from her blog apparently; the rest are from news sources. The nominator is acting in bad faith and has not even attempted to provide a logical reason for this nomination. I also note that the nominator appears to have some sort of grudge against this organization, as they joined wikipedia this evening, and all their edits are this nomination, and also nominating San Diego Derby Dolls for deletion. Spurious behavior at best. --Echoedmyron (talk) 04:32, 6 December 2015 (UTC)
Contested deletion
editThis article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because Bonnie D. Stroir is a significant early pioneer in travel coaching for roller derby. While the article could stand more attention and be upgraded from a stub, Bonnie D. Stroir's retirement makes the effort to improve it difficult. However, in addition to other editor's comments citing facts about citations, it's worth noting that being a first in full time coaching is significant enough to retain this article as she is likely to be referenced in future articles regarding this growing sport. --Amy "Bitches Bruze" Moore (talk) 05:08, 6 December 2015 (UTC)
