Note the picture provided does not correlate to the station described. The picture dates from 1962 when there was a standard gauge railway at this location (no, I have no details about it). The station, if ther was one, was totally demolished when the line was lifted.
The new station, on the Welsh Highland Railway was constructed after the line was opened in 1997 --Keith 06:47, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
Further investigation reveals that the following info panel data refers to a "Bontnewydd" on the said Bala and Dolgelley Railway, which is not this line. Original company Bala and Dolgelley Railway Pre-grouping Great Western Railway Platforms 1 - this should have been 2!!! History 4 August 1868[1] Opened 18 January 1965[1] Closed
I do not have "Butt", but examination of maps of location, show in 1889 the LNWR was the owner of the line, and there was no station at that location. The error data has been removed - also the photo which is of the station in error --Keith 15:55, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
