- Keep, I think. I'm not sure where the border between notable and non-notable is. This school is the southwestern equivalent, artistically, of the LaGuardia School (of "Fame" fame), and is one of the most influential schools in the country in terms of arts curricula. It was also an important center of the Texas fight against racial discrimination. --jpgordon 16:15, 3 Oct 2004 (UTC)

"Artistic equivalency" is very hard to show. If the article doesn't show notability, then Delete.ClockworkTroll 20:24, 3 Oct 2004 (UTC)- Looks much nicer now, Jpgordon. Vote changed to keep. ClockworkTroll 16:55, 4 Oct 2004 (UTC)

- Comment: A case could be made that the school is notable based on what's already in the article, but I'd like to know how many students it has, or how many it has had in the past. Everyking 13:30, 4 Oct 2004 (UTC)

- Looks good as is. Keep. DS 20:43, 6 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Delete. This falls just south of the border of my notability distinguisher for pre-university schools. Not quite notable enough. --Improv 21:42, 4 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. Even on the basis of what is already there, seems clearly notable, and I imagine there is a lot more to be said about a notable black high school in an historically segregated area. -- Jmabel 01:07, Oct 6, 2004 (UTC)
