Boombox (Laura Marano song) → Boombox (song) – Unnecessary disambiguation, as no other song by this name has an article. – nyuszika7h (talk) 22:32, 27 August 2016 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 04:53, 28 August 2016 (UTC)
- @Nyuszika7H: But Boombox (disambiguation) lists several songs and albums called Boombox, and the article's name should say which, so that readers can see which at first look. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 04:53, 28 August 2016 (UTC)
- Support. There are no other articles on songs named "Boombox", so the artist's name is unnecessary. This follows the consensus at the RfC and various subsequent RMs.--Cúchullain t/c 19:48, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
- Comment: That RfC looks interesting but that link gives me a Return code 404 page not found. Links to these other RMs would be good too. !Vots below. Andrewa (talk) 00:09, 4 September 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose – if this barely notable song gets an article, why not the other one, too? Why not go ahead and disambiguate, since the disambig page lists two such songs? Dicklyon (talk) 03:28, 31 August 2016 (UTC)
- Then, either, AFD this article, or create a non-notable article for the other one. © Tbhotch™ (en-2.5). 15:26, 3 September 2016 (UTC)
- Support. The guideline is clear, we only disambiguate when other articles already exist. I personally disagree with that, but I think we should follow it unless there is strong enough consensus here to make it feasible to change the guideline. Andrewa (talk) 00:09, 4 September 2016 (UTC)
- Support. This is the only Wikipedia article about a song titled Boombox. kennethaw88 • talk 00:36, 4 September 2016 (UTC)

Note: For those interested, the RfC mentioned by Cuchullain is at WT:Article titles § RfC: Artist name as disambiguation regarding non-notable song titles. – nyuszika7h (talk) 13:17, 8 September 2016 (UTC)
