Is there any chance of converting the Borg-Warner 35 into four speeds, or to chnage the ratio of the third gear so that the maximum speed increases? Regards

American Motors used different shift quadrant, similarities to Cruise-O-Matic

edit

I owned a 1964 Rambler Classic 770 equipped with the Borg-Warner T-35 transmission. The shift quadrant read PRN21L. If you put the transmission in "2", the car started in 2nd gear and then shifted to 3rd as you gained speed. If you put the shifter in "1", the car started in 1st gear and cycled through all 3 gears. This shift pattern was very similar to the 1965 Mustang that my mother once owned with a Cruise-O-Matic transmission. Bill S. (talk) 01:30, 6 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
