About Turbo Debugger and emulation section: It's probably should be tested in Microsoft Virtual PC and VMware also. --Yonkie (talk) 18:27, 24 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Done this with VPC; TD almost works (it loads a source program; the program appears to be all there as you can view the variables but the source screen is blank). TD386 and TD386 were never going to work in virtual 8086 mode. But TD.EXE seems to work fine in an XP 32 command prompt, and TDH386.SYS can be loaded to give 386+ hardware breakpoints. I don't think this is really "original research" as anybody with access can check it. I haven't used this setup extensively, but it did load a program, stop at breakpoints, display a couple of watches, and run the program exactly as expected. dosbox 0.72 and td.exe ver 3.1

edit

I can run Turbo debugger version 3.2 under dosbox. The article claims otherwise. What's the deal? Powerslide (talk) 00:10, 10 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

dosbox 0.74 and td.exe ver 5.0

edit

Agreed; I can (and do) use TD 5.0 (the latest). Furthermore though, the article should explain what these magical control mechanisms are which fault due to a VM/emulator. I see Powerslide questioned this a full five years ago; it's high time for this to be corrected! Gamkiller (talk) 19:02, 13 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
