Query
editWhy the "Borussia" in the name? Albatross2147 12:46, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
- It is a Latinized form of Prussia and so quite popular among German clubs as part of a team name. If your root through the club list you'll see a few of Borussias. Wiggy! 12:57, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
- The city of Mönchengladbach is located in the Lower Rhine region of the Rhineland. As Rheinprovinz (Rhine Province) this once was a part of the State of Prussia. Today its northern part belongs to the German Bundesland (state) North Rhine-Westphalia, the southern part to Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland (smaller parts to Hesse and Belgium). The name is quite popular among clubs from this region. -- Andreas Blenke (not a registered user) 91.17.198.201 (talk) 08:13, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
Kasey Keller
editKeller's a free agent now... I'm taking his name off, while I don't know who's captain now. Bardiak 20:02, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
No his name should stay untill you have the list of the squad for the 07/08 season.

Template:1. Bundesliga
editAs Borussia are in the Bundesliga next season, should the 1. Bundesliga template replace the 2. Bundesliga one now, or once the 2008/09 season starts? Lambdoid 18:21, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
- Now. Season start in terms of what teams belong to what league is usually considered July 1. I took the liberty of updating. Madcynic (talk) 18:26, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
