Okay, so you would like to disambiguate Bossa Nova between musical style and dance. Is there any reason why Bossa Nova with capitals should be the disambig, and lowercase should be the music style? Please explain. PS How do you like the Deodato article? JFW | T@lk 22:43, 15 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- I wasn't specifically thinking about the way of disambiguation, and you are right, it is not OK now. The only thing I wanted is to keep the diambig page. As a rule of thumb, I've often seen a general agreement is to capitalize the names of dances, since they are proper nouns (unless they are generic names for a group of related dances, e.g., waltz & tango) and do not capitalize the names of styles (swing, bop, jazz, etc.).
- BTW, quite some time ago I noticed there is a pretty frequent problem how to disambiguate music vs. dance names. Let's figure out what is the best page to discuss this issue. Mikkalai 02:43, 16 Aug 2004 (UTC)
