Councilor or Councillor? - both used on boston.gov/departments/city-council

edit

Spelling of councilor vs councillor (with two L's) seems to be mixed. In Google:

- site:boston.gov/departments/city-council "Councillor" gives 34 results
- site:boston.gov/departments/city-council "Councilor" gives 20 results

However, the "main" page https://www.boston.gov/departments/city-council uses "Councilor" as do most of the councilors' bios (although a couple have both spellings).

I would suggest this article use the "councilor" since it is the preferred US spelling and the city council main web page also uses it. Any objections or other thoughts? Facts707 (talk) 06:49, 24 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Additional section

edit

I think we need an additional section on the 2019 race for Boston City Council, that has 50 candidates running.[1][2] Housing and climate change seem to be VERY hot topics driving many of the candidates, but diversity is also a hot topic. Josh Zakim is not running again.[3] MaynardClark (talk) 02:33, 20 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

District map needs update

edit

The map currently shows outdated district boundaries. There are multiple maps of the new districts available online (here and here), but I don't think they are have the proper permissions (creative commons, etc) to be shared on Wikipedia. How should this be handled? GGalilei (talk) 20:57, 18 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
